The housebuilders behind Northstowe are encouraging residents to nominate a local volunteer to be named Community Hero for the new town this National Volunteers Week (1st – 7th June 2021).

Bovis Homes, David Wilsons Homes, Domovo Homes, Linden Homes and Taylor Wimpey are keen to recognise those special individuals that have made a real impact on Northstowe through volunteering. It is these selflessness people that the housebuilders want to celebrate and reward as part of its continued commitment to support the local community.

Launching during National Volunteers Weeks, the search for a Community Hero will take place throughout June 2021. Following this, a winner will be chosen and presented with the Northstowe Community Hero trophy, plus the Northstowe housebuilders will also donate £100 to a local good cause of the winner’s choice.

Northstowe locals can nominate candidates by placing named recommendations, along with a reason for the nomination by emailing NorthstoweHero@Unsworthsugden.co.uk

Charlotte Barber, Sales Manager for Vistry East Midlands, part of Vistry Group which includes Linden Homes and Bovis Homes said, “It’s important to all the housebuilders here in Northstowe that we recognise local people that are helping to us to create a thriving new community.

“During the pandemic we have seen communities really pull together and Northstowe is no exception, with some going above and beyond to keep neighbourhoods going throughout lockdown. This month we’re urging residents to nominate their most deserving local volunteer and we are really excited to reward a Community Hero for all the great work they have done.”
