NORTHSTOWE HOUSEBUILDERS ADJUST VIEWINGS PROCESS TO KEEP HOMEBUYERS MOVING DURING LOCKDOWN
The housebuilders behind Northstowe, Cambridgeshire’s newest town, have introduced safety measures to their homebuying appointments, helping local people keep their moving plans on track as lockdown eases.
Up until recently, the Northstowe housebuilders including, Barratt Homes, Bovis Homes, David Wilson Homes, Domovo Homes, Linden Homes and Taylor Wimpey could only offer online appointments and virtual tours. However, following the recent Government announcement to reopen the housing market, allowing house viewings and development visits, socially distanced show home tours are now available following a pre-booked confirmed appointment.
On behalf of the Northstowe housebuilders, Annette Hurst, Sales Director at Barratt Homes, said “The new Northstowe development has begun a phased reopening and some of our sales advisers are returning to site, however we are taking the recent Government advice very seriously.
“That’s why our plans to welcome homebuyers back will be on an appointment only basis, so we can ensure social distancing measures are being met. All the housebuilders have had a positive response to the ongoing virtual tours and online appointments, and we will continue to offer this as a first step to buying a home at Northstowe, until it is safe to open fully.”
Reviving the site of the former RAF Oakington, Northstowe is a new sustainable development located between Cambridge and Huntingdon. Surrounded by farmland and steeped in local history, Northstowe has an identity that is entirely unique and one that promotes health and sustainability for its residents.
Northstowe includes a variety of housing types, including affordable homes, suiting a range of buyers and budgets.
