Public Consultation event
***Please note that the consultation is now closed.***
Your views are needed on the new BMX track and design code for Northstowe’s future phase. Northstowe residents and stakeholders are invited to a public consultation event being held on
Friday July 12th from 2pm to 7pm at the Western Park Sports Pavilion, Peppercorn Drive, Northstowe, Cambridge CB24 1BF.
Members of the development and design teams will be on hand to outline our plans and listen to your views on two separate matters:
The development of a new BMX track to be built at the Eastern Sports Hub close to Northstowe Secondary College.
The design code for the development of phase 3A of the town.
The design code will set out rules and guidelines which govern the design and style of buildings and public spaces within the area to the immediate south of Phase 2.
When new buildings are planned – a new housing development for example – they have to be drawn up with reference to the rules set out in the design code once it is finalised.
More information will be available at the exhibition and from the planning specialists who will be there.
The BMX track will be an outdoor facility and can be built in a way to appeal to riders of all abilities and styles – BMX, mountain bikes, scooters, skateboards and more.
Come and tell us what you want to see there. Northstowe is your town, come along and help us shape its future.
Consultation materials and a response form will be added to this website on Friday 12th July. These are for people who were unable to attend the event but want their comments heard on these important plans.
