New BMX track – consultation

As part of the new sports facilities being built at the new Eastern Sports Hub, we are in the early stages of designing an all-weather BMX track. The images on the exhibition boards below show some of the features and materials the track could be made of – there are many more examples on the website of the track designer Clark & Kent. For this consultation, we’re asking you to share your opinions of the track and how it might be used. Your views will help us with creating the final designs.

Your feedback

Tell us if you think you would use the track, would you like the chance to use scooters, skateboards, mountain bikes, BMXs or all of the above? 

What about seating and covered areas? Are these important to you or not?

Would you like to see different age groups access the track at different times? What about planting and materials the track will be made from?

Finally, do you have any concerns about the track and how it will operate?
