HOUSE BY URBAN SPLASH DELIVERS FIRST 43 HOMES TO INHOLM
Progressing its new Cambridgeshire neighbourhood, Inholm, the modern housebuilder House by Urban Splash has delivered 43 homes in 43 days.
Inholm is an architect-designed neighbourhood of Town House homes set against the fenland green backdrop of Northstowe, Cambridge. New images, released today, show the first homes standing in situ on an area of site known as the Peninsula. All 43 of them have been precision manufactured at the House by Urban Splash factory 100 miles away in Alfreton using modern methods of construction (MMC).
Eva Hogan, sales manager at Inholm and said: “This is a wonderful day. We’re so excited to complete on this area of Inholm and we’ll soon be able to welcome our first customers into their brand-new homes.
“We’ve created them using MMC – meaning they’ve come to life quicker and more efficiently than traditional build. The MMC process is slick, with a precision manufacturing approach that means the homes are created to a high design specification. Now all the homes are in situ, it’s rewarding to see how we’ve rapidly transformed this site into a brand-new neighbourhood.”
The new homes have been designed by RIBA award-winning architects, shedkm; the wider masterplan for Inholm has been devised by renowned architects, Proctor Matthews, who have helped design a place filled with new parks and green spaces, new schools, an outdoor gym, excellent transport connections, and of course, an eventual total of 406 brilliantly designed, precision-manufactured homes. New images of the first completed streetscape and local landscape have also been revealed this week.
Each of the 43 homes created by House by Urban Splash boast exceptional finishes, high-speed broadband, energy-efficient heating, and a private bike store. They also offer residents stunning views of the waterpark and the rolling Cambridgeshire countryside and feature a beautiful residents’ garden.
New residents are also looking forward to the development’s ‘sociable’ streets – these are spaces which prioritise people over cars so that children can safely play, and neighbours convene.
Eva continued: “This is a futureproofed new take on suburbia which is proving extremely popular. Our blueprint is an alternative which promotes great design and healthy living for the future of all residents. As the world has changed so much over the past 18 months, we’re creating a neighbourhood which accommodates work and play – in an environment created to enjoy life.”
The new residents are benefiting from a generous 139 sqm of living space – with 2.6m high ceilings and oversized windows – over three floors. There are multiple layouts available, giving customers choice in line with their family’s needs. Inholm’s show homes showcase two of these different layouts – an on-site concept proving especially popular with customers who’d initially not considered a less-traditional floor plan.
One shows a ‘garden living’ layout with an open-plan kitchen downstairs; a bedroom, bathroom and home office on the second floor; and a master suite and guest bedroom – both with ensuite bathrooms – on the top floor. The other is a ‘loft living’ home showing an alternative where the downstairs is used for sleeping, while the upper floors offer living space.
Following the first completions, more new residents are scheduled to join the neighbourhood over the coming weeks and into the new year. Interested customers can visit the show homes or sales office from Thursday to Monday.
