CONNECTIONS FROM NORTHSTOWE
Getting to, from, and around Northstowe is simple and easy. Northstowe has been designed with fully integrated transport choices in mind, offering sustainable options that promote healthy living.
The Cambridge North Railway Station is just 14 minutes away by bus via the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. As the town grows and grows, lots of new bus routes will be introduced to accommodate increased demand.
The Longstanton Park & Ride serves the town and there will be several stops on a new dedicated bus route along the spine road through Northstowe as well as integrated cycleways. The Guided Busway and its adjoining cycleway connect the town directly to the City of Cambridge and ultimately beyond to the south via transport interchanges in the City, and to the north via the market towns of St Ives and Huntingdon.
Not everyone can or wants to walk or cycle, so there will be sufficient provision for car parking amongst the town’s residents and visitors to the town centre provided at a level determined by local planning policy.
